Sailing the Skies: Why it is a Must to Try Parasailing in Wisconsin

Couple parasailing

Nothing pumps up the adrenaline like flying high up in the air and feeling the rushing wind in your skin. It takes a lot of courage, and maybe a little bit of crazy — but if you feel like having a sky-high adventure, Wisconsin will get you soaring.

Parasailing in Door County

Door County is a scenic place, which makes it an ideal site for parasailing. Before you even arrive, make sure to secure a reservation in a beautiful hotel in Door County.

Once you’re ready, head to the water to start your adventure. You’ll be subject to a brief talk about the equipment, safety, and what to expect once you’re in the sky. If you want to use a GoPro or a similar camera, it’s probably best to go for a mounted one because you need your arms free. Once you get in gear — helmet, harness, life vest, and leg protectors — the boat starts going and off you go flying.

That Wild Ride

The ride is thrilling and relaxing at the same time. Slowly climbing up the air is an amazing experience. Parasailing can get you flying as high as 500 feet, and that’s high enough to see the curvature of the earth on the horizon.  You’re strapped in, sitting down, and enjoying a great panoramic view of the county and the beautiful nature around you. You may maneuver the sail to change directions if you want, or you can just sit back and relax.

Cooling Down in Nature

As you alight from your airborne adventure, it’s a great idea to spend a little time enjoying nature. The beautiful beaches are a welcoming sight, but you can always go underwater.

Parasailing lifts you high in the sky, yet brings you closer to nature — and Door County is one of the best places to experience nature at its finest.
